The premise

There are two modes:

• Classic — four chains of four words. Arrange each row of the grid so it reads as one chain in order.
• Mega — one giant 16-tile chain. Read the whole grid left-to-right, top-to-bottom as a single 15-link chain.

Drop one tile onto another to swap their positions. Tap Check any time to see what's correct. There is no mistake limit, so you're free to experiment.

Why it works

Most daily puzzles lean on one mechanic: connect five, guess the word, fill the grid. Chainlink leans on a property of the English language itself — the way compound nouns and common phrases overlap on a shared word. The Classic mode is the perfect on-ramp. Four parallel four-link chains means you can solve one row, get a confidence boost, and use what you've learned to attack the others.
